2010 Annual NJCSL All Day Softball Tournament

Here are the logistics for the Saturday August 7th Tournament:

FEE: The $100 team fee that must be received no later than July 20th.
Place: Smith Field in Parsippany
Time: Captains must be there by 8:00 AM – first game is 8:30 AM

Tournament Rules

Regular NJCSL rules apply with the exception of the following:

  • all teams will play each other once so each team will play a minimum of 3 games. The 2 teams with the best records will play for the championship. Tie breakers for identical records will first be decided by head to head results and secondly by a coin toss if needed.
  • each game will be 6 innings
  • each batter will start with a 1-1 count
  • foul ball on the third strike IS an out

Because the NJCSL playoff season still needs to be played I have added the last two bullets this year to speed play and minimize chance of injury due to fatigue. This should also improve the quality of the games.

Please check your equipment ahead of time to be sure all bats are currently ASA approved. The forfeiture rule for illegal bats will apply.

Plan to leave the fields as you found them – clean.

Prizes for first and second place will depend on the number of teams entered into the tournament and will be announcement shortly before the tournament starts. They are generally $150.00 for first place and $50.00 for second, but are subject to change.
